    Rock of Gibraltar

Enjoy a day trip to Gibraltar by car on with an organised excursion. YOU WILL NEED YOUR PASSPORTS to enter Gibraltar.

Parking is much cheaper in Gibraltar than La Linea and you also have the opportunity to top up your tank at bargain prices.

Once you are across the border, there are lots of Tour Taxi’s/Minibus that give guided tours of Gibraltar.  From the border you can also catch a bus to the centre which is about ¾ mile away if you are on foot.

There are restaurants at Queensway Quay (Waterfront Café has good views over the Marina and a varied menu), Marina Bay and the new Ocean Village complex adjacent to Marina Bay.

NB Sometimes there can be long queues to cross the border by car at which times it may be easier to park on the Spanish side of the border in La Linea (there is an underground carpark on the Spanish side just opposite the frontier) and then just walk across.  Parking in La Linea is more expensive than Gibraltar.

Gibraltar has a multitude of “duty free” shops but do be careful – the prices are not always competitive.

There are also several UK high street branded shops – Marks & Spencer, BHS, Morrisons, Dorothy Perkins, etc.

The local currency is the Pound but Euros are generally accepted.
